Fas Tracks rail lines North of I-70 have received just over $491 million in funding. This includes the Northwest Rail (B Line) and the North Metro Rail (N Line).
Fas Tracks rail lines South of I-70 have received just over $3.5 billion in funding.
The B Line and N Line are incomplete and unfunded. RTD estimates that it may take util 2040 to complete these lines.
These funding challenges are difficult and RTD has worked hard to address them, but there are more options than just waiting.
Riders on the North end of town are faced with challenges with bus service as well. Currently, no express bus service goes North of 120th Avenue along I-25 (even though RTD's service area goes all the way to Highway 7) and local service is very limited.
With the rapid growth of commercial and residential development, core bus service needs to improve to meet these growth-related challenges.
RTD just finished a year-long pass program analysis that makes recommendations regarding fares for lower income riders and students.
These fare discussions wil continue to be important issues for the board.
