Since being elected in 2018, I have worked to ensure that unfinished FasTracks rail lines get funded and built. In 2020, the N Line opened commuter rail service from Denver Union Station to 124th Ave in Eastlake - we have 5 more miles to go to get this line finishied.
In 2021, I advocated for and helped pass a measure that allocated $8 million to study the feasability and path forward to bring rail service to Longmont and points in between (NW Rail or the B Line).
Funding challenges remain difficult and RTD has worked hard to address them, we need to continue this focus to provide more frequent and reliable service to the area.
With the rapid growth of commercial and residential development, core bus service needs to improve to meet these growth-related challenges.
We need to continue to press for reinstatement of cancelled services, expansion of existing service, and improvement of reliability.
Understanding that RTD's fare structure is confusing and expensive, I supported the effort to comprehensively examine our fare structure. RTD just retained a consultant to conduct a Fare and Equity study to determine how we can simplify our fare structure and make it more affordable as well.
Policymaking is a complex process. My experience will ensure that your voice as a stakeholder will be heard.
I pledge to always let my constituents know what is happening and how it affects them.
